After more than 20 years doing research on farm, we created a database architecture with good data and then developed algorithms for fertilizer, seeds and other inputs using variable rate technology. We can write prescriptions and recommend solutions for your farm based on site-specific data to become more profitable and efficient. So, no more flat rate for whole field or on worst case scenario using the same rate for the entire farm.
PrecisionAgX is a result of several years of on farm precision experimentation and spatial crop management on big commercial farm fields. During this period several protocols were invented and standardization on how data are collected and organized were done to make fully and integrated the use of farm machinery and accessories, such as RTK GPS, variable rate controllers, optical sensors, satellite, radar, lidar and drone data to collect, stack and analyze layers of information.
We believe that all procedures and knowledge generated from this effort is much more than simple use of a sensor, software or approach in isolation. It is about how to use the various spatial layers to perform spatial crop management.
